All of the following meetings are open to the public:

Borough Council Caucus Meeting meets the 1st Wednesday of every month at 7:30 p.m. in the Municipal Building. The purpose of this meeting is to plan the agenda for the following week’s Council meeting. 

Borough Council meets the 2nd Wednesday of every month at 8:00 p.m. in the Wm. Reinl Building on Shisler Avenue. The purpose of this meeting is to vote on proposed ordinances, resolutions, budgets, contracts, etc. that are on the agenda. 

Recreation Board
meets the 4th Wednesday of every month at 7:30 p.m. in the Wm. Reinl Building. The Rec. Board is an advisory body that oversees the recreation budget and the maintenance of Schwenke Field and Carr Field at the recreation area at Bonsall Avenue, and Volunteer Park and Duffy Field on Woodlawn Avenue adjacent to Aldan Elementary School.

Historical Commission
meets the 3rd Wednesday of every month at 7:00 p.m. in the Municipal Building. The Historical Commission is advisory body that oversees the Historical Museum, located at the trolley stop at Woodlawn and Providence Road, as well as the Historical Park on Providence Road between the Historical Museum and the Municipal Building. The Commission also gathers artifacts about Aldan's history.

Planning Commission meets the last Thursday of every month at 7:30 p.m. in the Municipal Building. The Planning Commission is an advisory body that reviews land development and subdivision plans. The commission also advices on zoning ordinance revisions and Muti-Municipal Comprehensive Plan (Aldan, Collingdale, Colwyn and Sharon Hill Boroughs) 

Board of Health meets the 2nd Monday of every month at 7:00 p.m. in the Municipal Building. Health Inspector’s role is the inspection of perishable food retailers and restaurants, as well as residential and commercial swimming pools.

Waste Collection
Monday and Thursdays

Trash Collection – All trash must be placed in covered containers or plastic bags and must be of reasonable weight.  Clippings may be tied in two-foot bundles not exceeding three-feet in length.

Trash may not be placed out prior to 9:00 p.m. the night before collection and empty containers must be removed within twelve hours of collection.

Each resident is permitted to dispose of bulk items on Thursday of each week.  If trash day falls on a holiday, collections will be the next day.
